Open/Reopen window

I have followed the instructions in the forum and the window went away for a 
while but it’s back and I can’t get rid of it!
Can I uninstall the OO version I have and reinstall the new version?  How do I 
uninstall?  I have a Mac Book Pro.  Ann Thomas
