Jim,

I use Apache Open Office in Yosemite with no problem.

Go to the official web site https://www.openoffice.org/ to download. This web
site will connect you to Source Forge the official repository of the DMG. It
will start the download AUTOMATICALLY.

Once the download is done open your Download folder and click on the icon for
Open Office, this will open the DMG. Follow the arrow in the window and drag
the icon into the Application folder.

Then open your Application folder, you can open Open Office from there or drag
a copy of the icon to your Dashboard.

The first time you open the program you will need to "Right Click" or "Control
Click" the icon and allow Yosemite to open the program since it does not come
from the App Store and this is a function of the Gatekeeper protection against
installing malware.

I have sent a copy of this directly to you. Please respond to the users list
if you have any further questions or comments.
