That means that your file is corrupt. The best way to configure AOO under these circumstances is to enable the auto-save feature located on Tools -> Options -> Load/Save -> General Reduce the minutes of saving, and also enable the option of: - Edit document properties before saving - Always save a backup copy
This will ensure all your work is saved from the start and continually being saved every 3-5 minutes (depending on how much you reduce the autosave). This way your work will not be lost.
