I have two more-or-less unrelated questions:

1. If OpenOffice crashes once with no apparent cause (i.e., it cannot be reliably reproduced), and the OpenOffice file recovery screen comes up, and the file recovers successfully (albeit, to an earlier version of my document), but the Crash Reporter screen fails to come up, then is the failure to display the Crash Reporter screen a legitimate "bug"?

2. If a particular file reliably causes OpenOffice to "quit unexpectedly," is that a legitimate "bug"? If so then I can create a bug ticket... after first running the file through Jotti (to make sure it's not infected), of course.

What is "normal" or "expected" behavior if you open a corrupted file in OpenOffice for Macintosh? *Should* it close unexpectedly?

(Note that opening this particular file always brings up Apple's crash-reporter screen rather than OpenOffice's. Does anybody affiliated with the OpenOffice project "receive" Apple bug reports that are triggered by OpenOffice crashes?)
