With regard to your experience logging on to the User support forum, I am sure that when a Forum Administrator comes online he will look into this. The behaviour of OpenOffice on your computer is not typical as over 100 million users can testify. It may be that you now distrust it and would prefer nothing to do with it, in which case I suggest you look for other Office suites. These include (inter alia) LibreOffice (based largely on OO code), and Caligra.
