As far as I know, one does not have to remove an older copy of OpenOffice of 
the same version series - I have installed OO 4.0.0 and then all versions to OO 
4.1.1 as they become available on my Xubuntu computers - Kubuntu should be 
similar.

However, if you really wish to uninstall, try 
sudo apt-get purge openoffice4.
