I have a small issue with the Indirect function on Calc. I have created a spreadsheet for a friend to track their workout routine. The dependent list is working fine except that it is not showing the entire range it is associated with. Choose "LEGS" under Body Part and you'll notice the entire LEGS list (listed on Sheet 2) will not show.
You probably need not to give anyone helping such a puzzle. At least you could say which "Body Part" entry you mean and where the list should appear.
I have attached the file for you to reference.
Weirdly, you attached a template.
Could you let me know if there is a way for the entire range to show up in one list?
Yes: if the named range includes all the cells you need! Your LEGS name currently includes only C2:C21 on Sheet2 - which is what you are getting for the corresponding selection list in column B on Sheet1.
o Go to Sheet2. o Go to Insert | Names > | Define... . o Click LEGS in the list to put its name in the box at the top. o Drag across your entire LEGS list - from C2 to C58. o Click OK. There is no problem with the INDIRECT() function, only with its argument. I trust this helps.
