just a thought - uninstalling the software, launching a registry cleaner to remove small bits of persistent data, and installing the software after a reboot might help.

I had and was enjoying the use of Open Office until I tried to update to
4.1.1, bad news. Now I've lost the important calendar, in fact lost the
whole of the original Open Office and cannot complete the installation
because at a certain point I'm asked to log in as administrator. I have no
idea
how or why I should do that- I'm using Windows 7 on a HP computer. If
there is any way that I can download and use Open Office I'd appreciate the
help. There really was no need to complicate the installation process - it
worked fine in the previous version; also it seems as if an update should
not have wiped out the entire prior version but it did. Please help me
install Open Office - I suppose that all the information on the calendars is
just now gone. HELP!
Tony
