Are you sure you have a table and not a section?

... and won't get out of that format!
If you have sections, go to Format | Sections..., select each section
in turn in the panel on the left, and click Remove.
It won't let me enlarge the text.
You should be able to enlarge text even in a table cell. If the
problem is that the enlarged text will not display completely in a
table cell, you need to enlarge the row height. Go to Table |
Autofit > | Optimal Row Height or to Table | Autofit > | Row
Height... and choose a new height or click "Fit to size".
Alternatively, you can reach the same facilities by right-clicking
the row and selecting Row > from the context menu.
I tried clearing it and starting over several times. I have had this problem before using english text as well.
But you can forget all the above if you do things the easy way! When
you paste in the material, use Edit | Paste Special... (or
Ctrl+Shift+V) instead of ordinary Paste. In the Paste Special
dialogue, select "Unformatted text".
Note that one possibility is that what you are copying is not text at
all but a picture of some text. In that case you won't be able to
edit it as text in OpenOffice (or anywhere else). You should be able
to drag the corner of the picture to enlarge it, but the resolution
will degrade as you do so. If what you end up with is unsuitable for
the use to which you wish to put it, you will need to source a higher
resolution graphic in the first place.
I trust this helps.
