I can't speak for the Mac, but Alt+I, U, F gets there for me. Does this not work (perhaps using Option) on a Mac? If you press Option, don't the relevant letters appear underlined in the menus?
In any case, you can set your own keyboard shortcut. o Go to Tools | Customize... | Keyboard (or wherever that is on a Mac). o At the top right, select OpenOffice or Writer (or whatever). o Under Functions | Category, select Insert. o Under Function, select From File. o Under "Shortcut keys", choose your preferred shortcut. o Click Modify and OK.
