Yes Scooter, One Note free just been released. It does lack a couple of the more exotic features but it fine for most uses.

I'll be downloading it once my trial period of the full Office suite expires. The only problem with not using Office is that it is the most used by business, government etc and sometimes formatting doesn't convert truly.

Cheers
Tony

To my knowledge, there are no substitutes for "One NOTE" in AOO and it can't
open them.

I wasn't aware there was a FREE One Note and highly suggest if there is go
with it.

  Take Care,

Scooter

Subject: Microsoft One Note

     Dear Apache

For years I have used One Note quite a lot, and find it a most useful

application. Having bought a new computer running W 8.1 I would prefer

to use Open Office but am unsure if I can integrate One Note documents.

Now that Microsoft has made One Note free and not tied to the Office

suite, can an alternative be developed within Open Office, or

alternatively an extension developed?

Regards

Tony Gallas
