Where did you register? OpenOffice does not require user registration. Maybe you registered for BugZilla https://issues.apache.org/ooo/ or for the Extensions site http://extensions.openoffice.org/ or for the Templates site http://templates.openoffice.org/ ? In all three cases, registration is required only if you want to upload content, and there are facilities to have a new password sent to you by e-mail. In any case, please tell us where you registered, since "registering as a user" was disabled a couple of years ago.
