All these are missing the ./ before the script name, otherwise the script is searched in /usr/bin $HOME/bin /usr/local/bin etc. As this directory is not on the path, you have to use the full path to the script: /opt/openoffice.org3/program/swriter or, cd to the dictory containing the script, and execute the script with dot slash script, for example ./swriter cd /opt/openoffice.org3/program/ ./swriter Regards -- Ariel Constenla-Haile La Plata, Argentina
