All of a sudden it is working properly. It is possible that when I downloaded 3.4.1 there was a request to register it. Such a request popped up this afternoon and it was followed by a request to register with Oracle...I thought I was registered with Oracle but I registered again with great difficulty and that problem has gone away. It might be coincidental. I will probably subscribe to your list and appreciate your feedback and if the problem returns I will go to the link you have provided. But I have noticed that certain software such as Adobe Flash Update when they want you to authorize an update and you don't they sort of act like a virus. I prefer to do updates when I am not in the middle of working on something. I have encountered other problems with the updating of Open Office receiving a message that a new update is available when I have already installed it. So I am suspicious of the update process.
