Hi there.

I too am looking into Rust. But for me it's a hobby.

However, I am successfully using Visual Studio Code (on Fedora Linux!), and it is very useful. I am a long... time user of Java and Netbeans. Rust is an interesting alternative. Another language to add
to my list.🙂

Have a great day, and have fun with Rust. 🙂

Brad.

Hello.

I use Ubuntu, and have, for 17 years, I developed Java programs in Netbeans. Being that my programs should be running on embedded devices, I am canvassing for a language type that would work well for me to port my code to. Rust seems to be a good candidate for this, and it seems divergent from Java to the extent that porting my code will be more involved than simply using a translator - so the exercise should be quite the journey that will put my concepts to the test.

What are my options for editing and running Rust code in Netbeans?

Thanks,

  Owen.
