For the best Linux experience check out: https://snapcraft.io/netbeans It adds an application icon. The best thing is that NetBeans gets updated automatically when a new version is released. That happens seamlessly without the need of running the import option. It also has the option to go back to the previous version if you do not like what we put in the most recent one.
