We're working hard on implementing the special sauce that nb-javac adds into NetBeans itself so that ultimately nb-javac won't be needed at all anymore, e.g.:
https://github.com/apache/netbeans/pull/1319 In the meantime, if you can avoid using nb-javac, even though when it works correctly (something else we're trying to fix), it does better than not having it, that would be best.
