Not much to it. I unzipped into a folder in /opt and edited the jdkhome line in netbeans.conf to point at it. Best wishes, Neil I've tried your approach succesfully and have NetBeans running again with OpenJDK 11 from AdoptOpenJDK. The one in Ubuntu must have some errors in it, they'll fix it eventually.
