I really don't know that much about it. I somehow stumbled recently in that area and noticed one of the modules was disabled and investigated a bit so that's why I could clarify you in the previous email.
But indeed, I guess some more notifications towards the (existing) users would be helpful and maybe some more testing between the SVN implementations. Obviously, it shouldn't be hard to put the SVNkit implementation into a Plugin Portal module. Then people that are struggling with SVN can at least try the other implementation too. Although under Apache NetBeans cannot bundle SVNKit I don't think we are disallowed to at least hint the users they can also install the other module.
