This means you may find documentation on features that are not available in the latest released version of the plugin. Such features should be marked "since x.x.x" but it's possible that some of those markers are missing. If you try an example from the docs and it just doesn't work, please ask so that we can double check and make corrections if necessary. Thanks to all the authors for this greatly improved documentation, and as always, additional examples and contributions are welcome.
