Hello,
I'm having trouble running Maven 1.0.2 with the latest version of Java (1.5.0_08) on Windows XP
Maven resides in C:\maven-1.0.2 and Java is in C:\java\jdk1.5.0_08
I have set MAVEN_HOME to maven-1.0.2 and JAVA_HOME to JDK 1.5.0_08
And I have set maven-1.0.2\bin in my PATH
However when I run "maven -version" it just prints out the usage instructions for Java (???!!!)

Is maven 1.x supposed to work with the latest version of Java?
I can't find any documentation on this on the Maven website
I have no problems with Maven 2. However I need to used Maven 1 for an old project.
Thanks for any help anyone can give
Andy Birchall
