Unfortunately, the remote deployment checkbox for Tomcat 5 is not checked for Maven 1. But it looks like there's definitely options especially since I can make ANT calls to your ANT API. I'll look further as time (almost invariably never) permits, but the quick-and-dirty eludes me for now.
