Use a dependency tag like below ...

  <dependencies>
    <dependency>
      <groupId>junit</groupId>
      <artifactId>junit</artifactId>
      <version>3.8.1</version>
      <scope>test</scope>
    </dependency>
  </dependencies>

change your groupId, artifactId, version and scope to compile ... as per
ur need
