Thanks Krishna for ur reply but i have to include struts-portlet-01.jar into my project but i haven't found that jar in the http://www.ibiblio.org/maven2 i am comfortably able to include lucen as u said by specifing groupid,artifactid,version and scope <dependency> <groupId>lucene</groupId> <artifactId>lucene</artifactId> <version>1.4.3</version> <scope>compile</scope> </dependency> but http://www.ibiblio.org/maven2 repositry dosen't contain struts-portlet jar
