do you have the cvs executable in your PATH. (BTW: What installation do you have. cygwin cvs or wincvs/cvsnt?) What happens, if you execute

cvs -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/acegisecurity -q checkout -P 
acegisecurity

in a dos box. AFAIK maven/ant expects  cvs in PATH.
