Hello Matthias, Rather than clutter the vote thread, asking here. Can you say more about this:
> I reached out to Marketing with the idea of the leaf aside the Maven text, but got no reaction. Same from community. Marketing, helping out with the new logo, had no reaction to your question about 'Concept 5'? [1] I didn't see any community discussion about it other than what happened on the GitHub issue. Elliotte made a good point there [2] which is my feeling as well: > The less the leaf interferes with reading the text the better. In my opinion, both options presented for vote affect the kerning of the text negatively, making it look less like 'Maven' the word with a leaf on it, and more like 'Ma' + logo + 'en'. Related but separate question, how will this choice affect circled-square type logos, e.g. X/Twitter. Keeping the cartoon owl mascot? Use just the v with the leaf on it? Or try to fit all the text of Apache Maven, with the leaf integrated, into the circle, making the text rather small?
