Using a proxy server during "mvn install"

Hi

I run "mvn install" to build YCSB. In the middle of the compilation, it 
connects to clojars.org.
Right now we have some network problems. Is it possible to tell mvn to use a 
proxy server IP:PORT for connecting to clojars?
