are you sure Tomcat is executed with a JRE 7?
Because that error means that the class MarmottaJndiListener was
compiled with the version 7 of the compiler (major.minor version 51.0),
which is not supported by your current runtime.
So, please, check it. No sure what OS you are using, but in GNU/Linux
you can do it by executing:
sudo update-alternatives --config java
