Hello,
I am trying to couple two programs running on two different machines
usingopenMPI. Machine A is a 32-bit machine and machine B is a 64-bit machine.
So,the configuration is like: IA32Machine A with 32-bit binary + x64 Machine B
with 64-bit binary. Does openMPI allow such a communication? I was able to
create32-bit and 64-bit binaries on both machines using openMPI. I can also run
theexecutables on both machines separately. But, if I want to communicate
betweentwo machines, it simply does not work. I receive the below messages:
bash: orted: commandnot
found--------------------------------------------------------------------------ORTE
was unable toreliably start one or more daemons. This usually is causedby: *
not finding therequired libraries and/or binaries on  one or more nodes. Please
check your PATH andLD_LIBRARY_PATH  settings, or configure OMPI
with--enable-orterun-prefix-by-default * lack of authority toexecute on one or
more specified nodes.  Please verify your allocation andauthorities. * the
inability towrite startup files into /tmp (--tmpdir/orte_tmpdir_base).  Please
check with your sys admin to determinethe correct location to use. *
compilation of the orted with dynamiclibraries when static are required  (e.g.,
on Cray). Please check your configurecmd line and consider using  one of the
contrib/platform definitions foryour system type. * an inability tocreate a
connection back to mpirun due to a  lack of common network interfaces and/or
noroute found between  them. Please check network connectivity(including
firewalls  and network routing requirements).  Thanks a lot in advance.
Regards,Kamal
