Gotcha.  I actually didn't have a role in deciding to take down the LAM/MPI web 
site -- IU simply decided that it was time to stop renewing the domain (I left 
IU ~9 years ago).

Sadly, I have minimal experience with .debs... if someone would contribute the 
necessary packaging, we could talk about hosting a source deb on the main Open 
MPI site.
