FWIW: Ralph committed a change to mpirun the other day that will now check if you're missing integer command line arguments. This will appear in Open MPI v1.7. It'll look something like this:
% mpirun -np hostname ----------------------------------------------------------- Open MPI has detected that a parameter given to a cmd line option does not match the expected format: Option: np Param: hostname This is frequently caused by omitting to provide the parameter to an option that requires one. Please check the cmd line and try again. ----------------------------------------------------------- % On Feb 28, 2012, at 5:49 AM, Jeff Squyres (jsquyres) wrote: > Yes, this is known behavior for our CLI parser.
