What version of fedora?

In F21,

[egreshko@meimei ~]$ yum whatprovides /lib64/libexempi.so.3
Loaded plugins: langpacks
exempi-2.2.1-7.fc21.x86_64 : Library for easy parsing of XMP metadata
Repo : installed
Matched from:
Filename : /lib64/libexempi.so.3

So, if the file is corrupt you can try

yum reinstall exempi
