Optimus offloads graphic intensive work to dedicated graphic card,
automatically, which is simply not supported by Nvidia on Linux.
Dynamic power on/off of external graphic card is a kernel/nouveau
feature. Bumblebee let's you turn on dedicated card for specific
applications that has to be done via commandline.
