There's not nearly enough information here to give you an intelligent answer but if you're using a supported USB to serial adapter, PL2303 (real one, not the knock off) or FTDI, it should "just work". Try dmesg from a terminal window right after plugging it in or try "ls /dev/ttyUSB*" and look for an entry. Richard
