It's older, but not that old... Dual core intel @ 2GHz, 3GB DDR2 ram. The hard drive activity stops after the initial login so I don't think that's a factor. Not sure about swap but it's the default from a Live Workstation install. I'm not actually sure what's going on.... After login I get a dark textured screen with mouse cursor only. After I wake the screen up after going into dpms I get the gnome-shell "lock screen" and after unlocking I get a full desktop. It's really weird like gnome-shell is loading but not showing itself until after a lock/unlock cycle. Richard
