You don't use VI?  ;-)  The INS key puts you into typing into your file
mode, rather than editing it, or doing other functions, with hotkeys.

Some offices resort to ripping out unwanted keys (e.g. power down keys)
that get hit by accident.  Or slipping hard spaghetti paster under the
key cap so it can't be pressed down.
