They have managed to create an installer for Fedora that cannot be used to install Fedora. That´s still an euphemism, yet it is what it comes down to. As for the original question: With the F19 installer, I had to create the partitions otherwise and then mess around with the installer for quite a while to tell it which partition to use for what. It was pretty awful, though at least possible.
