while the documentation suggests this utility can handle LVM, i finished a scan earlier and, based on a guess as to what represented the "home" logical volume, tried to select it but was told it was corrupted. and the documentation here: http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/Menu_Analyse doesn't say anything about LVM. so i'm letting the analyze step run one more time, and i'll report what it summarizes at the end, if you want to make further suggestions. is there any LVM-related utility that might scan a disk looking for what appear to be logical volumes? rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
