You can do it another way: 1. Take the .config from Fedora (/boot/config-xxxx) as a starting point, or create your own one 2. Download the latest kernel source from kernel.org and extract it 3. Copy your .config into the root of the source-tree 4. make oldconfig 5. make 6. make modules_install 7. make install 8.
