Hi all, gimp 2.8.10 with new kernels core dump on creating or opening large image.
There is a workaround to solve the problem. I aliased the gimp command with #alias gimp='MALLOC_MMAP_MAX_=0 gimp' The problem is related to new metods for allocation memory on the kernel 3.12.
