Hello, Everyone
OK, this is getting kind of silly... I USED to have an issue with KDE
intermittently forgetting my plasmoids and other desktop settings.
Now, I can't get KDE to remember them at all! As an experiment, I just
got my desktop to look like I wanted it to, then I did the following:
1. "Leave | Save Session"
2. Change these files to read-only:
~/.kde/share/config/activitymanagerrc
~/.kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc
3. Log out, and then back in.

The result? No plasmoids at all!

These are old screenshots of how my desktop SHOULD have looked when I
logged back in, and how it actually DID:

The big difference between KDE's behavior now and how it's been in the
recent past is that I am not ever able to get my desktop to stay
looking the way that I want it to.

PS: Rex, sorry for CC'ing you on this, but I think that you probably
have some good ideas about this issue.
