F19 and Gnome 3 here. No "My Computer". If I get into Nautilus, I can
click on the Files icon in the upper panel and go to Preferences, but
there is nothing in there about turning off the sidebar. The only way to
do that which I have found is to click the down arrow button in the
upper right of the window, then uncheck "Show Sidebar". Or hit F9.
Either way, this has to be done every time I open a new window, and it's
a PITA.
