unconfirmed here, installed it at koji-build-day

OK, thanks Harald, 'Edit > Preferences > Privacy > History > custom
settings > Clear history when FF closes' was ticked. No idea how.

if you open about:config and enter 'history' or 'shutdown' in "Find:" bar,
you will/should see that 'default' is 'true'.

privacy.clearOnShutdown.history;true

It shows the status (for /everything/ on the 'shutdown' page) as default, although I now have the box unticked; and what (recent) history I had has just survived an FF shutdown and restart.

I don't recollect losing history on earlier upgrades. ??
