which is another reason why i dislike lvm and set up of partitions.
lvm thinks it is a god and ruler of all domain.

actually, it is a devil wearing a red hat. :=)

after a fedora install wiped out 3 drives, i make new installs to a box
with only 1 drive connected. after installation, reconnect drives, move new
installed to a +25% partition for additions. change fstab accordingly.

/home is always it's own partition.

now i have no puzzles. :=)
