*stop* spread such unqualified FUD in the public and RTFM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Active_Management_Technology if you do not need it diable AMT in your BIOS as i did on any machine at day one becuase i disable *anything* over many years which i do not use *before* setup a OS but *do not* spread FUD
