You probably need to create a DVD structure as an ISO file, then burn
the file to a DVD as data. Creating the ISO can be done several ways,
e.g. DeVeDe or tovid (not sure if that last has an rpm).

This is all from memory as I haven't actually created a DVD in several
years. Most modern DVD players have USB sockets so you can use pendrives
as input and avoid all the hassle, not mention saving on media costs.
