So, the printer is defined.  Earlier you noted....

$: lpr March*
lpr: Error - no default destination available.

Since you don't have a default set, you should be able to print with....

lpr -P HP_LaserJet_P1005 file_to_print

That is very odd.  All of my systems have...

/var/lib/hp(/.*)?       system_u:object_r:cupsd_var_lib_t:s0

Does this match?
