i know EXACTLY to what i have replied https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=887763#c13 at the same time i dealed with this upates-testing problems i had also the "grubby fatal error" and found out that "which ld" no longer gave any output which was the first of many hundret kernel-updates where i saw this and yes the missing "ld" can affect anything on a system
