RPM groups are a static small list from a long time before and have been optional for a while. Fedora has never really used it for anything and we use the grouping information from comps.xml that yum. Anaconda etc supports https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_use_and_edit_comps.xml_for_package_groups Rahul
