I don't know, nor to I have a clue how to find out, I just know that
previous attempts to disable it never worked. Some udev nonsense
probably would result in it firing back up again when I plugged in
a wi-fi dongle. I removed it and all my problems were gone, so there
was no need for the huge research project to discover how to make
it stop bothering me :-).
